Hello, August!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” -Proverbs 3:5-6

Hey guys! I am back with an eagerly awaited announcement- I finally know where I’ll be serving while in the U.K.! In a few weeks, I’ll be working in.. (drumroll, please..) Winchester, London! While there, I’ll be working with the chaplain at St. Swithun’s, and all-girls boarding school! The biggest part of my job will be counseling the girls (grades 8-12) and planning chapel services for the students. I will also be able to bond with the girls while living in a flat on campus.

So, that’s the nuts and bolts of what I’ll be doing, and let me tell you- I am so excited and blessed to have this opportunity. This time last year, I was floundering. I felt trapped in a toxic situation with seemingly no way out. I remembered the verse above, and started praying it every time I started to feel anxious. “He will direct your paths,” became my mantra. And look what happened! While I was struggling, God was preparing my heart for a journey I knew nothing about.

So, friends, if you’re struggling today, I hope that you remember to acknowledge that God is in control of the chaos and the unknown. He’s not punishing you- He’s preparing you.

As always, thank you for reading, and for your support! Please feel free to comment or reach out to me for more information.
