Hey, guys! Cait here- I created this blog to help my friends and family keep up with all the super cool things I’m doing while in the UK! I leave for the United Kingdom in August, and I can barely contain my excitement for all of the things that are to come. Let’s start with some ~Frequently Asked Questions~ about me, the ELCA, YAGM, and the United Kingdom!
1. What is the ELCA!?
The ELCA stands for the “Evangelical Lutheran Church of America,” and they are also the organization in charge of sending me, and about 73 other young people, to participate in YAGM 2019-2020.
2. What is YAGM?
YAGM stands for “Young Adults in Global Mission,” and it’s an awesome program that sends young adults out every year to 11(ish) different countries.
3. When are you leaving/coming back!?
I’ll be leaving for the United Kingdom towards the end of August, and I’ll be serving there for a year.
4. Are you crazy!?
In short-yes. But I’ve realized something lately- the things that sound the craziest end up being some of the most life-changing and growth-inspiring experiences of our lives. Here’s to being out of my comfort zone pretty much 24/7!
